FAQ
Yes. All information provided by you and every aspect of the counseling process is kept strictly confidential as required by HIPAA regulations. Referrals to family doctors, psychiatrists, pastors and other professionals, if deemed necessary, are made only after discussion with and permission from you, the client.
If you would like to bring someone with you to an initial visit, please let our counselors know when you make your appointment. He or she will determine the appropriateness of the presence of the other individual depending on the circumstances and your needs.
Every situation is different and every individual's needs unique. You and your therapist will discuss expectations for the frequency of your visits and a determination will then be made based on your particular needs and the goals you and your counselor set, taking into consideration cost, convenience and insurance coverage.
Most major insurance companies provide coverage for mental health treatment. Please contact your insurance company for its mental health policy and to determine co-pays. Payment of co-pays is expected the day of treatment.
Therapy groups are made up of individuals with similar problems or issues. Group members benefit from sharing problems and solutions with others who understand their problems. Group members may participate to the extent that they feel comfortable and may offer encouragement to other group members with the guidance of a therapist who acts as facilitator. Group members are expected to keep strictly confidential all information shared in the group. Groups may meet once a week, once a month or otherwise.
Please feel free to contact us with any additional questions or comments.
